Our "Sperling" is by no means just a play on words, but rather a symbolic representation of what our restaurant embodies.
The sparrow, known for its sociable nature, represents our approach of being together in a kind of nest that provides a cozy living room atmosphere.
All this takes place in a historic building where greats such as Mozart and Haydn once left their mark.
Our motto, "Das Glück ist ein Vogerl" (Happiness is a bird) , is based on an Austrian proverb and means to us that we value and enjoy precious moments, because although they may be fleeting, the memories of those moments in our restaurant and the culinary delights we offer will last forever. This corresponds to the concept of "collecting moments, not things".
We warmly invite you to experience your special moments with us, whether alone, in a small group or with a larger group. You are welcome here whatever the weather and at any time.
Our top priority is service, quality and culinary enjoyment. To ensure that we can continue to offer all our guests a first-class experience, we would like to ask you to note the following information regarding reservations and group bookings:
For groups of 16 or more guests, a deposit is required to secure your reservation.
We would be happy to send you further information tailored to your specific wishes and requirements.

(Note on the deposit: Unfortunately, we have experienced in the past that group reservations were often not kept without notification, which meant that we had to cancel other guests. Therefore, we have decided to charge a deposit for groups of 16 guests or more. If there are any changes to your reservation, please contact us in good time.)

Would you like an aperitif? Wonderful wines? Outdoor reception?
We always charge for drinks according to actual consumption or opened bottles. For group reservations, we provide a drink estimate based on experience and the drinks selected.
Meals - a la carte/up to max 20 people
In order to offer all guests the same enjoyment, a la carte is possible for a maximum of 20 people.
Deposit (=deposit payment) EUR 20,- per person.
For 21 guests or more, one of our packages or our Sperling's Gourmet Table or Gourmet Brunch can be booked.

Our menus are served in the popular Sperling style according to our
Motto “Peck as you please” in the form of our sparrow pleasure table:
We will spoil you with all the dishes listed as a wonderful table buffet - to try and combine as you please" in 2-3 courses (more if you wish) and without the agony of choice. Simply pure, casual enjoyment.
Upgrade
Our Sperling's atmosphere is relaxed and we also try to work more sustainably by completely avoiding table linen.
If you would like to create an even more festive atmosphere for your group, you are welcome to book extras.

If you are interested, we would be happy to put you in touch with our neighbor and partner, the Viennese Augarten Porcelain Manufactory. Whether private tours, creative workshops, champagne tastings in the castle's historic stucco room or renting rooms for conferences, lectures or parties - the Augarten adventure world is open to you.
Flower decoration
Our local florist partner BlumenArt www.blumenart.at is responsible for flower decorations. They always put together pretty little vases according to the season and your wishes and make your celebration even more wonderful - always with direct ordering and direct payment if required.
Number of guests
Please let us know how many guests you are expecting so that we can create an offer for you based on this.
We require the final number of guests between 3-6 working days in advance, depending on the group size booked and the menus and extras booked .
